COISO, Your International Student Club
This is the University of Miami’s club for international students and students who have international interests, The Council of International Students and Organizations.
Our beloved organization was founded in 1967 by international students at the University of Miami. The original purpose was simple, to defend and promote the interests of international students, who had traveled from across the world to become a member of the University of Miami family.
Today, COISO boasts hundreds of members and countless proud and successful alumni. Through organizing and executing events, as well as advocating international awareness and tolerance, we are constantly working to serve the university's international students and organizations that promote international interests.
In our forty-four year legacy, COISO has grown to become one of the largest student-run organizations on campus. We are proud to say that members of COISO, both past and present, have formed a family bond that supersedes all cultural difference, language barriers, and international borders.
